“Step away from the paint can”

Painting is one of those things that is cheap and easy and can totally make or break a room. It can’t be emphasized enough how important it is to get the right colour before you paint. Working with my Benjamin Moore designer kit (or the company of your choice), I will sit down with you and, after considering the light and your furniture/flooring/carpeting, will recommend different colour options while explaining what “look and feel” each colour will produce. You can paint yourself or I can recommend a qualified painter. Either way you will benefit from my trade-only discount when you purchase the paint.

Reuse-Recycle-Redecorate

Do you have great furniture and artwork but nothing feels right? I will come over and rearrange your room so that it feels bigger, brighter, more functional, more stylish, more you. If required, I will bring in those missing accessories and special touches (either purchase them for you or take them from other rooms in your house!). Simply put, you will be astounded by the results. It’s a quick and easy way to redo your rooms.

Thinking of selling your home?

Why not invest a (very) little to make it look its best for prospective buyers – the only thing you will lose by not doing this is time and money. I will come in and rearrange the furniture and artwork, advise you on the best paint colours to sell your home and help you find quick fixes to make your house more attractive to buyers. In fact, when I’m done you’ll be tempted to stay!

Renovating your kitchen, bathroom or any other room?

You may have a great contractor, but until you’ve lived through a renovation firsthand you might not be aware of the myriad decisions you must make along the way. It can be overwhelming. That’s why it’s so important to know where you’re going and stay on track – even when things derail (and they probably will). Save yourself the headache - I will work with your contractor (or recommend one) from the start of the project and ensure that the materials are ordered and installed properly so that the final results are everything you ever dreamed of – and more.

Over the past 12 years, I have established personal contacts with numerous local suppliers and showrooms and I can do all the legwork for you, bringing samples to your home and then ensuring that you receive my trade-only discount from the supplier. Or I will meet you at the showroom to review my final choices which have been prepared ahead of time.

In need of a quickie?

If you’ve always dreamed of a black and white photo gallery, or wanted to display a collection, or create a beautiful fireplace mantel (for a special holiday perhaps) but don’t know where to start, I will create unique mantel, wall or cabinet displays that will have everyone asking, “Is that new?” I’ll even help you select from your colour photos, transfer them to black and white and have them framed and displayed, leaving you wondering why you didn’t do it years before.

If you’re looking for an original gift that will be appreciated for so many occasions - weddings, baby showers, housewarmings and more - then why not give a gift certificate? I’ve had people buy them for all sorts of occasions - even Mother’s Day and birthdays - and the recipient is always thrilled.
