Nature + Technology = Art

Magic happens when nature meets technology. Like this quartz counter - have you ever seen anything like it?! Individual cross sections of petrified wood applied by hand to quartz to create a truly original masterpiece.

RMI was lucky enough to incorporate this beauty into one of our 2016 cottage projects (look for Rockport - coming soon to our portfolio).

Petrified wood is a fossil. It forms when plant material is buried by sediment and protected from decay by oxygen and organisms. Then, groundwater rich in dissolved solids flows through the sediment replacing the original plant material with silica, calcite, pyrite or another inorganic material such as opal.

Below are two equally beautiful options from the same semi-precious quartz collection (petrified wood and blue agate). Sold in whole slabs only, this collection is the ultimate splurge for your kitchen or bathroom. Contact RMI for more information.
